News: 5 hours agoSabally (concussion) has been ruled out for Friday's preseason game against Minnesota, Chelsea Leite of The IX Sports reports.

Spin: Sabally was officially placed in the league's concussion protocol earlier in the day Thursday, so it's no surprise that she won't suit up for Friday's exhibition. She'll continue to be considered day-to-day leading up to the 2026 season opener May 8 against Washington.

ESPN Fantasy Projection: Sabally is preparing for a new start in 2026, as she's heading over to Toronto for the Tempo's inaugural season. The Tempo chose her with their second first-round pick in the WNBA Expansion Draft, suggesting the club has big plans for Sabally right away. With the Liberty employing a loaded frontcourt of Breanna Stewart, Jonquel Jones and Emma Meesseman, Sabally was just a part-time player with New York a year ago and averaged only 5.4 points, 4.5 rebounds and 1.0 blocks in 17.9 minutes per tilt over 17 regular-season outings (10 starts). The 26-year-old could be one of fantasy's biggest offseason risers after moving away from such a crowded Liberty frontcourt, and she's set for the biggest opportunity of her career to show what she's capable of in a larger role, though the Tempo also signed Temi Fagbenle during the offseason.
